Meet Our Instructor
Hilary Kautter Allsopp, M.S.ED.

Pet Tech® Instructor #2409

Director of Training, Lifelong Learner, Perpetual Tourist, Cat Whisperer

Kind, smart, and organized, Hilary joined Becky's Pet Care in September 2018 and works both as a Senior Pet Care Professional in Alexandria, and as an Instructor for our PetPREP program. Hilary is a constant seeker of knowledge and wants to understand the "how" and "why" behind everything, making her a natural teacher. Our clients and staff are grateful for her engaging, positive, and patient nature when helping them learn how to confidently respond to pet emergency situations when they attend our Pet CPR & First Aid courses.

Prior to following her dream to spend all day with pets, Hilary spent 10 years working as a college career counselor and faculty member in higher education, after completing her degree (and receiving the Graduate Student of the Year award!) from the University of Miami.

Outside of work, Hilary loves to explore new locations, restaurants, and experiences. She is just as happy reading plaques on a Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg as she is snorkeling with sea turtles on the coast of Hawaii. She has always felt close to nature and had a connection with animals. She spends time relaxing with her boyfriend and with her 4 rescue kitties - 2 male tabbies (Myles and Milo), 2 female tuxedos (littermates, Millie and Molly) and enjoys her freshwater fish tanks.
